A Sensory Experience - Joanne Balmer, Burnley
“I moved into my home around 15 years ago with my husband. The bathroom was one of the rooms in need of serious updating. It had a pea green suite with brass fittings and a corner bath that we never used – and the toilet had an awful wooden seat. There were even mirror-tiled walls, so it looked and felt terrible. The space was not in any way relaxing or soothing.
I run two businesses and have a very busy social life, so I don’t get much time to myself. I work very long hours, sometimes only getting home around 8pm, having left the house at 6am. We picked the bathroom suite from Clearly Interiors in Burnley and saw from the Geberit range that it would be of the best quality and fit beautifully with the style of our home – modern, yet in keeping, and timeless.
The redesign has transformed how we use the space. I now feel I can go in, shut the door and unwind. I have a bath almost every night and being in the bathroom doesn’t just help me unwind, it totally relaxes me and helps me get a good night’s sleep. I feel I’m now more productive in my day-to-day life because of it. Although my job is still as stressful as ever, I look forward to my evenings where I can enjoy time in my home, and we are both so glad we took the decision to transform our bathroom.”
Our Sensory Experiences
Managing the acoustics within the bathroom is key to creating a calming atmosphere. Geberit’s expert design specialisms (within the room and behind the scenes) ensure noise is isolated within the space.
The right lighting is essential in creating the perfect mood, while still offering practical solutions. Careful consideration to the lighting specifications is a key factor in all Geberit bathrooms.
Textures and Fragrances
Relaxation can be increased from being surrounded by pleasing textures and well-designed ceramics that invite you to touch them. With the combination of refreshing fragrances and a sense of calm, Geberit bathrooms offer the perfect environment.
